From “can’t pick a major” to data-driven insights.

I'm currently a Business Analyst specializing in Data Lake database querying (PL/SQL), Power BI dashboard development, and Performance Guarantee (PG) reporting which is work that already has me deep in the technical core of what a Data Analyst role requires. My path into analytics started in college, when I was torn between business and technology and couldn't decide on a major. My dad, who builds healthcare dashboards professionally, showed me how data analytics sits right at the intersection of both. Seeing the trend forecasts and dashboards he built for his organization, and later taking Tableau and Power BI courses made me realize that data isn't just numbers, it's the story that drives real business decisions. That pushed me to pursue a statistics & data science major and commit to analytics as my path.

In my current role, that intersection shows up daily, whether that's reconciling customer service scorecard discrepancies that were causing inaccurate reporting, automating PG reporting across 100+ quarterly reports, and turning manual Salesforce caseload tracking into a live KPI dashboard that cut manual effort by 75%. What draws me to this work is the same thing that hooked me in college, taking messy fragmented data and turning it into something a business can actually act on.

What I'm aiming for next is a formal move into a data analyst role, while also extending my skill set into AI-powered analytics. I'm currently building a natural-language-to-SQL agent project to deepen my Python and LLM tooling experience, on top of the SQL, Power BI, and data validation foundation I've built as a Business Analyst.
